Fade Away 05:42
mind's a mess, a bit unstable am i Cain or am i Abel? dig the grave, carve the stone pick your box and toss the bone let it fade away let it fade away where's the sun, where's your crown? why the fiction, why the frown? voices, we are haunted by voices drowning out the shame where's the sun, where's your crown? why the fiction, why the frown? look at me now in this garden of plastic look at me now, forgive my sins look at me now i'm so fucking fantastic look at me now in my brand new skin where's the sun, where's your crown? why the fiction, why the frown?

Decide 07:06
hardly an odd chance mere delay victims of circumstance or shadow play you can't seem to find out just what's this all about, what's with all the doubt would you beat me with your confidence and try to knock me out i see it in your saccharine eyes you should destroy me we know it's just a when and where time's out for me should we say goodbye should you wonder why every time that i hurt you it's hard to sympathize crashing waves and ebbing tide will force the hand and you'll decide you can say you tried for me you can clear your mind free someday, i'll find a way to feel alive someday, i'll find a reason to survive so we'll say goodbye should you wonder why every time that i hurt you it's hard to sympathize you can say you tried for me you can clear your mind free someday, i'll find a way to feel alive someday, i'll find a reason to survive someday, i'll find a way to feel alive someday….

Cannibals 06:42
catacombs tattered homes garden gnomes and fairy tales poisoned streams shattered dreams tear the seams of all that's frail run, rabbit run you shall be forsaken frozen, fear to fail you and i must learn to say goodbye you say, we are nothing but cannibals you say, we'll find nothing but ragged dolls look and i see that sad look in their eyes can't find the reason, can't realize you say we are nothing but cannibals talk to yourself but you can't find the rhyme can't find the reason and can't find the time you say, we are nothing but cannibals frozen, fear to fail, chosen, we'll prevail

Bridges 04:11
on a sunday in the middle of tenth avenue where our shattered dreams collide in the wreckage of the harmless lies we always knew would stay sleeping deep inside forces, contradictory forces dizzying dashing lines course, we are charting new courses fragile fractured minds living in shadows of dreams so bizarre taking for granted the things that we are eyes of self-pity, and heart full of scars no lap of glory or victory cigars out of our cages, but naught wander far doomed to the relics of dark dying stars striking the poses and nailed to the bar is this who we are? home, sweet home can you take me home? i've tried everything i've tried everything but i never tried for you i've tried everything i've tried everything now i'll try for you can you take me home?

about

Moniker’s third EP is an ode to transformation inspired by Franz Kafka’s tragic life and existential writings. The songs present an experiential journey toward facing life in the mirror, recognizing one's self-imposed struggles, and learning to toss them aside in a moment of surrealist reinvention.

The album is a contemporary exploration of many of the same themes of alienation, doubt, and self-persecution that Kafka wrote about in early 20th century Prague. Kafka once wrote that "by believing passionately in something that still does not exist, we create it. The nonexistent is whatever we have not sufficiently desired."

We believe our reality is not merely defined by the trials, tribulations, and limitations that surround us, but also by the circumstances we can consciously create on our own.

Recorded and self-produced entirely at Wadzilla Mansion in Allston, MA, “Work in Prague” highlights Moniker’s innovative and accessible approach to progressive rock.
